What is BitTube AirTime?

Hello Steemians!

As I'm the user of this extension since 23rd of December 2018 and I'm pretty satisfied with it decided to post a short explanation what's all about. Of course, it's up to you to use it or not.

What's BitTube AirTime?

BitTube AirTime is an example of a web-based monetization model, which was developed first for the BitTube video platform, and later, due to its practical and performance, it developed for the entire web as a free browser add-on.

On its basis, it offers a payment in TUBE cryptocurrency for users and publishers (bloggers, websites, social network users, merchants, etc.) for their time spent online without using any ads. Sounds amazing, huh? But it is true.

How does BitTube AirTime work?

AirTime was first tested on decentralized video platform BitTube. The creators and video viewers are paid in the TUBE cryptocurrency when the hardware (computers, smartphones) of users mine coins at the time of visits. After a year, this model was transferred to the entire web and into the browsers as an add-on. You can take it here.

The browser add-on (currently available for Chrome, Brave and Firefox, for others soon) enables AirTime across the web, also includes integrated wallet module, adblocker, VPN, referral system, purchases and exchange of TUBE to fiat and crypto (BTC, BTH, ETH, LTC at the moment, btw: I'm waiting for STEEM...), and many more.

As I mentioned before, this add-on allows the user to generate a TUBE currency at a time when he is browsing the web and then distributes the percentage of value to all - to users browsing and content authors. Including social networking accounts - currently Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Soundcloud, Twitch, Amazon, (will be more in the future). Yes, that's true, you can link your social accounts into your Airtime extension and after that, you get the embedded button "Donate TUBE" on that social account. Also as a publisher, you can embed the Airtime code into your website.

There is also an advanced adblocker - you can determine which ads you will be blocking and which ones (popups, large media, remote fonts, full-page ads, etc ...). while the latest acquisition is a VPN which provides a higher level of privacy and security.

Maybe it wouldn't be bad for Steem to allow to embed bittube videos. I suggest this as a DTube and a BitTube user. It's true, DTube videos earns more in 7 days, but they disappear after a couple of months, but BitTube videos are all still present and generate views...
