The results may not be what a real competitor is looking for, but the exhilaration of competition can not be experienced sitting on a couch.

At least you competed and tried most people talk themselves out of even trying.
There is always room for improvement but it sounds like you had fun!

There's a lot of reasons why competition is extremely healthy especially when you are a positive person and take positive actions.
Don't be too hard on yourself for a good performance.
And being there to support your team definitely helps them as well
