Spooky Video Animation Made With Blender
This is a short video animation that I made with Blender. I actually used the new test build of Blender 2.8.
Blender 2.8 have a lot of new things and one of the most interesting one is the new rendering engine EEVEE.
EEVEE is showing the final render of the scene in real time. Every little tweak that is made to the scene, material, lightning is immediately shown in the scene. It can bee seen instantly. I’m very happy with this one.
Now, it is possible to go and edit the scene right there as you see it. Adjust lighting, move objects around, change shapes and materials. No need to go back and forward from render to object mode. This is truly a great improvement. Well done to all developers working on this.
There is also a volume scatter shader in the scene, that is available in this build. This is what is giving that fogy effect.
I have added three area lights, in a form of square, with different colors to give the model an interesting look.
The floor is basically a plane, with a simple cycle material on it, that is giving it a rough yellow grey look. There is a huge cube that encompass all the scene, and that cube have the volume scatter shader on it, to give the volumetric in the scene.
Somehow the video is not that quality that I would like it to be, but this is still an experimental environment. Will do some more tests and figure it out.

Just watched it... as a person who knows nothing about creating videos like this, I must say that it looks really cool, and wish I could create stuff like that myself! Keep those videos coming! :)

Whoa! EEVEE! Looks promising. Realtime sounds tempting. I watched couple tutorials about this engine and tried to do something with it, but the latest alpha builds of Blender 2.8 constantly keep crashing on my PC. For me it is unusable right now. I'll give it a try once more today, maybe this time will work :).
O yes .... it crashes a lot .. its like mine field ... you press some command that is not supported and by by :)
