A few weeks ago I took my wife to the hospital and she was supposed to have started antenatal. Following the normal procedure we had to conduct series of test like genotype, blood group, urine test, and several others. These test we are a determining factor as to whether or not she was going to be admitted for the antenatal in this hospital. Obviously this was going to cost me and then it hit me, I remembered she had conducted most of the tests some years back why did I have to pay for them again. After spending hours searching the house to no avail we decided to revisit the hospital we had the test in. After taking hours of our time we were asked to come back a week later as they had difficulties finding their records which they didn't state because it would show the height of incompetence I'm their part. I didn't have such time to wait so I had to pay for her to just go do a new comprehensive test.

I gave this illustration to show how unreliable it is in storing up medical data traditionally. Some health organization have succeeded in having a computing format of storing their patients medical records but this also isn't a guarantee for the safety of these records as it stands the risks of being hacked into because of the poor security protocol established by these hospitals.

Even in cases where the health institution has its records there are certain laws and regulations that govern the transferability of these medical data.

Medibloc is a flexible platform that offers users full control over their data and also offers flexibility in the sense that during an emergency situation Next of Kin can make decisions and release health data access to hospitals for the good of the patients.

Summary

The blockchain platform is one that is known to have no point of failure till date. Its secure, tested and trusted. Medibloc is building its own blockchain platform that will also allow for the smooth day to day transactions on the platform. Its a platform that brings an evolution to the medical health sector by giving the power back to the owners and one other good thing is that on the Medibloc platform patients with chronic health situations would have a community that will help communicate, share experiences and support one another through the stages. Its a platform that has the interest of its patients at heart and its the next phase of medical health globally.
