Sitting Here Thinking About Blockchain and Life
Yep, here I am. Sitting in my wife’s rocking chair (she’s not home), typing away on the fast and beautiful @partiko app, thinking about the possibilities of blockchain technology.
I like to think into the future and imagine what the world would look like when the majority of the population is using and interacting with digital assets on an immutable ledger.
Honestly, no one really knows, except Jesus I guess, what’s going to happen in the blockchain / crypto space over the next 5, 10, or even 50 years. Technology is always rapidly advancing which makes living in today’s modern age quite thrilling.
The uncertainty in the space, though viewed by many as a negative, is in fact a positive in my eyes because it’s all part of the fun. The volatility is all part of the journey.
I saw a post today on social media that said the down payment of success is risk. That couldn’t be more true, right? You have to be willing to risk something first in order to reap the rewards.
In a relationship, you need to risk being vulnerable and opening up to another person in order to find love. In sports, you need to be willing to risk missing a shot in order to make that 3-pointer. In public speaking, you need to risk others judging you in order to become a well-versed and professional communicator.
Where do you think blockchain technology will be 20 years down the road. It’s fun to speculate. I’m still over here rocking in this chair after a full day of being with the family and prepping for the Global Block Builders conference. Actually as you said it is really uncertainty in the technology right now . This blockchain tech is at the born level right now let's see what will happen to it in next 10 or 20 years. But day by day beliver in this tech is growing so fast so it will be moon one day.

if I only had that crystal ball lol. There is so much uncertainty but I do think blockchain is here to stay
As data becomes more and more valuable, the protection of that data will become so as well. I think having control of your data will be essential, and from it, sort of a universal basic income will form.
Yes, I can agree with that. Data is an extremely valuable asset, just ask FB or other companies that rely on it to run their businesses. Apparently there is buzz going around about them acquiring a blockchain-based company and that they could be developing their own coin soon. It feels good to be on the offensive end of the spectrum when it comes to digital assets.

In the really old days people use to wonder what the world would be like if people used email and websites before most people did
That's probably the same thing with blockchain and cryptocurrencies now
I really don't know we're the blockchain will be in the next few years. But I hope it still be around definitely. We need it around to free us from the banksters.
I like the comparisons people make with Blockchain and smartphones, or the Internet.
There will be resistance in the beginning, and people will doubt that it'll become mainstream, but after 10 to 20 years, everyone will be using it @kenmelendez.

20 years? No doubt in my mind that blockchain technology and its evolution will fundamentally change how we transact digitally as well as hot we rely on third parties to validate processes in addition to being the breakthrough in AI and robotics. The technology is too powerful to be denied.
