KuCoin Distributes SHL to PRL Holders from Airdrop

Hey everyone, a quick crypto post here. If you held PRL on KuCoin for block 5,436,000, then you were entitled to a 1:1 Airdrop of SHL tokens. If you held PRL on a MEW, then you would have received your SHL a few weeks ago. KuCoin seemed to take their time with this one. They also gave this message, "Withdrawals of SHL tokens from KuCoin already open and will continue to be supported until 18:00 (UTC+8) on May 20, 2018, If you are currently holding SHL please make your withdrawal on or before the closing date above."

I always recommend that you hold your coins/tokens off of the exchanges. The above is one reason why. First off, you are trusting that KuCoin will distribute your SHL to you, then you have to wait until they decide to so, and finally you have to hope that they trade the Airdropped token. In this case, KuCoin is only distributing the SHL to PRL holders, and NOT trading SHL. This means that you have to take your SHL off of the exchange or else there is a chance that you will lose your SHL. The sneaky part of KuCoin is that they are charging a 15 SHL fee to withdraw to your wallet AND you have to have 100 SHL minimum to withdraw. This means that if you have less than 100, you have no way of getting your SHL off of KuCoin and also KuCoin will be earning 15 SHL from each user to decides to move their SHL off of the exchange.

Sounds like KuCoin did alright for themselves at users expense. Let this be a lesson...don't hold your coins and tokens on exchanges for hard forks and airdrops. Always put them on a wallet in which you control the private key. Click on the link below to learn more. Good luck.
