EastWest Rural Bank joins Brigada Eskwela 2018!
Brigada Eskwela is a byword for school improvement which is an annual and weeklong program of the Department of Education (DepEd) that unites people together to prepare public school facilities for the opening of classes and continues to strengthen the spirit of volunteerism among Filipinos.
This year, to show our support and respond to the needs of DepEd ( Department of Education ) community, EastWest Rural Bank extended its help and resources for the Brigada Eskwela 2018 through the EWRB, Tara na sa Brigada! : An EWRB "I Respond" Campaign.
What is "I Respond" Campaign?
The "I Respond" Campaign is all about EWRB, as one community, responding to the needs of DepEd during Brigada Eskwela.
The "I Respond" Campaign focuses on the EWRB Community Engagement to the School Community inder the following activities:
- Campus Restoration - refers to EWRB's participation in preparing school classrooms, facilities, and grounds in which each schools are provided cleaning materials and workforce from EWRB employees to help in the restoration. Items are turnovered to the school for their use.
- Feeding - during the Campus Restoration, EWRB will provide light snacks and drinks to all participants who joined the Brigada activity.
In addition, Teacher's Care Kit w/ EWRB pen are provided to the teachers of the school.
Although we didn't have enough manpower to perform the activity, the employees of EWRB joined forces and volunteered to help the chosen schools restore their facilities.
I was lucky enough and thankful for this wonderful opportunity to be a part of this annual activity. It feels very fulfilling that no matter how exhausting it was, we still managed to finish the tasks we were given. Even in our own little ways, we are so grateful to have imparted and shared EWRB's blessings to others, that no matter how big or small, many or few, we did it with a heart and brought smiles to everyone.
