How POLICE is changing the way they are looked at!

in #blog5 years ago (edited)

Being a police officer may be praised and admirable, but it comes with a price. Usually cops are given a bad rep. From the numerous accusations to the tag of "legal bullies" they do face their fair share of discrimination and hate.

Don't get it twisted; a huge amount of the population pays utmost respect and have a positive outlook towards cops.

But one police department in general has always kept up their reputation of being the public's friend more than anything. The department of police in the United Arab Emirates. Anyone who has been to Dubai may resonate with this statement.

What's their secret?

TRUST
The cops in U.A.E. have mastered the art of entrusting the people. For the people, by the people; and the cops live by it!

PRIVACY
Your business is yours. Your business with police involved is yours and the police's. That's it! No third party is ever going to know what's going on until it is required to be publicized. This encourages the masses to approach the legal authorities at any time without hesitation.

DEDICATION
The legal authority is 100% dedicated to their job. Never ever will you feel like they aren't doing their best. Their dedication to serving the people is the keystone.

INITIATIVES
This has to be, by far, why the police in United Arab Emirates is loved so much.
Corvettes, Bugatti, Maserati, Mercedes, Lambo, Ferrari, McLaren.....you name it, they have it! Luxury cars in a police paint job isn't far from the unusual in U.A.E.

Latest, the Abu Dhabi police department implemented "Happiness Patrol". It's a patrolling service that pulls over cars, to award them with "happiness vouchers" for being example citizens. They keep surveillance on road and pull over anyone who follows and maintains discipline and abides by the rules to award them.
If we penalise wrongdoers, we should also reward the good people...That's the mentality. And We Are All For It!!

There's so much more to say about the numerous initiatives taken into effect in the recent years...maybe next time!

It's refreshing to see the legal authorities not lagging behind in keeping a friendly relationship with the people. It's relieving to see that the authorities do realise the importance and act on being one with the public.

Of course there are some jokes, too. Example:Who is the richest pgotographer in the world? Dubai's RADAR cameras. (Ponder on that for a bit)

That's one more blind spot from Blind's pot.

Too many people (including policemen) do not know the difference between "Admiralty Law", what is "legal", the trap of consent, and the little known and rarely exercised innate power of NOT consenting.

You see, it is the consent of people that gives any law outside of universally accepted, basic human rights and the law of the land that lends power to governmental statutes.

If you do not know these concepts, I urge you to research why your "name" on any "license" or "certificate" is in CAPITAL letters.

That governmental designation is only the "Straw Man", it is NOT you.

It automatically makes you a nation's commodity for international business by a government.

If this sounds far-fetched to you, again I highly recommend that you research the subject of "Admiralty Law".

It may open your eyes, empower you, and influence the way you run the rest of your "legal" life.

Namaste, JaiChai

wow! what a mind boggler! Thank you for recommending this to me. As precise as I can be; all I read has put in a state of trance- not the positive way. Now I have something to think about critically on the daily.
I highly appreciate you for being so bold and informing me directly. Thank you, @jaichai

Interesting concept. It should be applied globally.

I agree. but circumstances may not be the same elsewhere, hence, it might not be as easy to implement these ideas elsewhere

thank you so much for stopping by @brittandjosie

I had no clue! Definitely sounds better than what we have here in the States. Don't get me wrong, many police offers here are good, trustworthy people. However, there are some pretty horrible bad apples here and that causes everyone to look bad.

Thanks for posting a very positive post.
Ren

I have heard about how bad it has gotten over the years. Personally, I think it has reduced but news travels faster than light...so its more often that we hear about the bad apples!
stay safe!
