Blast from the past: KTV
@mimismartypants and I often have the most random of conversations, and somehow it leads to some of the strangest Google searches! All in good fun, no doubt! We were reminiscing on the golden age of South African television, back before the internet and streaming and where MNET was the pinnacle of entertainment
We used to have this kids show called K-TV, which basically every kid was glued to since they had the best shows. But as with all shows of that generation presenters were key to the lit factor of the show!
They even become your somewhat pseudo friend and you would refer to them by name, it was weird!
Anyway, the reason for the post was, I found this fan website with pictures of the presenters! Somehow they've stood the test of time and the nostalgia is real for any South African who clicks on this link: http://ktvpresenters.com/
PS: The clothes and the dated graphics ah, get me to LOL every time!

The only thing I remember from K-tv was the cd I had and it had Lemon Tree on and I was Lemon Tree obsessed so when my dad dumped us at some kids thing in Edenvale I would make everyone listen to it. Eventually I just walked around Edenvale (jozi) alone until pickup time.
LOL my cousin had that CD and yes lemon tree was the only song on repeat for sure, I was so jelly of them! We eventually fucked up the CD playing it so much, was a very sad day!
I shall bring joy to your life, loadshedding is bad enough but the memory of losing your cd is too much.

I did!!! I sold beaded bracelets and chains and stuff. All handmade before it was cool!! I was destined for this startup life man!!!

I thought kids getting to live out their destiny was only in the movies, or destiny died but I think that is outliving destiny. 🤔
