As soon as I click the post button on this one, I get a new badge—wait! :sh: “Yeessss.. is that you, @steemitboard?”

On Monday I said I would post seven days in a row and accomplish two things: 1. The steemit-board badge acknowledging I posted every day this week and, 2: I want one of these signatures danget! I never did seven in a row—never tried. I challenged myself this week, accepted the #challenge this week and completed the challenge this week—I’m happy for me. ”Thank you me, you’re welcome, you.” However, there’s a third reason I posted seven days in a row, I just didn’t want to put it on the #blockchain on Monday in case I needed to erase it. Since I don’t have to sweat that anymore, I’ll share the third one with you but first things first! I’m taking a victory lap (FF ⏭ to 0:49 😉).

No? No Barry? That’s #funny. I had a tough time listening to those first 48 seconds, the chorus sounded like a good idea in my head and then I pushed play—it wasn’t so good anymore. I considering poop-canning the whole idea but as soon as the chorus hit and Barry did his thing, I laughed out loud, it was settled—I’m going with it! 👍🏿 I’ll play a #victory lap song at the end of this victory lap post that’s a little more my style.

Third and final answer:

Because that’s Hoffa king hot it is here you guys—it’s miserable! We had no idea. It’s sofa king hot here, Pura Vida and I have altered all future #travel plans to a two week maximum stay, rather than 30 days, to any sight unseen location. Just a few weeks ago we had air movement, beaches and, prior to that, a house so high in the mountains it didn’t need air conditioning. However, this particular part of Costa Rica, in Golfito Bay, none of the above. It’s so hot here you’ll have enough time to write up seven lengthy articles and post one each day of the week because you literally can’t go outside—you just can’t!

Looks can be deceiving:

This is the view from the front balcony on any given day, the Air B&B ad featured similar images, this is what we saw—it looks peaceful, right? Waterfront, blue skies, calm water, peaceful:

BDA1F7FB-5DF5-45B1-B1FA-21971A13CB28.jpeg

But this is what it really looks like. This is how we see the front balcony—from the inside looking out. This is a view of the balcony from the dining room closed glass door with the air conditioning set at 23 Celsius, one oscillating fan on maximum speed and three ceiling fans that are spinning so fast, they’re hard to talk over, the first few days Pura Vida was worried they were going to fly off the ceiling:

It’s so hot here you sweat in the shower. You don’t need a hot water valve, they’re both hot, everything is hot. You sweat taking a shower and every day is a two shower minimum, the most I’ve taken is four.

Water front property, true, but there isn’t a coast line—it’s a port for ocean liners and commercial fishing boats. There isn’t any beaches, you can’t access the water if there was, the waters edge is met by mud and swamp, just a few days ago, less than 50 yards out, we spotted two crocodiles lurking in the water. That’s the only time I’ve ever used “lurking” in a sentence.

It’s so hot here, 38 C with humidity so heavy you can taste it, your days revolve around shower planning. One before the grocery store, then another shower after because you’ll sweat so much inside the market, your elbows and ankles will drip. You’ll sweat so much carrying grocery bags from the street to the apartment, you’ll need a free hand to keep the sweat out of your eye.

Eh, it’s so hot here, check this out, fact: The gym here is open from 6am til 10am, closes all day and reopens from 6pm til 10pm, those are the working hours. I asked the guy “is it because of the heat?” He pointed outside and said “muy caliente!”

We were offered a boat tour yesterday from our host, “we’re going to take the dogs across the bay and let them run around,” she said “you’re welcome to join us if you’d like.” Pura Vida and I looked at each other and pretty much answered, “thanks but no frikkin way—not today, not ever!” Our hosts boyfriend asked me the other day “so, what have you guys done since you’ve been here, do you plan on doing any exploring in Golfito?” I told him “counted down the days. We tried peddling our bicycles the day we got here, got about 20 yards from the house, turned around and locked the bikes back up, took a shower—they’ve been there since, now we just avoid going outside.” 10 more days—tomorrow will be nine...

But it’s a great place to get in some #steemit time—that’s for sure! You’ll have so much time, posting once a day is possible. No consistent WiFi, though, that makes things difficult, it means learning the GoPro is a NoGo from this location. Can’t draw either—no table and no light. Pura Vida and I have our own edges of the couch we alternate to avoid direct sunlight. She has her phone charger and I have mine—we’re equipped with devices, dominoes and cribbage. We have plenty of #food, too, she’s a gangster chef and the roof seems to hold up fine during heavy downpours—rain so heavy, the raindrops look like they hurt:

We have everything we need, we’re #blessed, I’m the luckiest guy I know. Everything I need is watching cooking videos and taking notes or listening to Yelawolf’s new album on the other side of the couch. Thanks for keeping up with me this week. Here’s that video I told you about in the beginning, the one I said is a little more my style. This is Victory Lap by Rittz, I recommend earbuds as loud as your device goes:

Congratulations babe! I know seven days isn’t going to be a new norm but it sure was fun to read what you had to say everyday. Dang, it was less than a week ago you were rowing out with the crocs while I watched from Panama. Right on… thanks for passing the days with me handsome. Maybe breakfast tomorrow, maybe rowing, maybe coffee shop… I don’t know. I do know who I adore though; YOU 🤫

Thanks for following along, I have a feeling you would no matter what—I’m your biggest cheerleader, too, foo!

One thing I learned last week is how to adjust my voting weights properly so my account doesn’t have to go dormant in 24 hour increments. Ok, two things, I also learned it’s a lot more work than I anticipated and I don’t see myself doing that again. 👍🏿

Thanks for showing me how to trust humans again.

You’re the best. Seven days in a row is incredible. Did you get hour badge yet? They better not stiff you now. Thanks for signing us up for an early morning tour… you’re such a turd 🥴

Too bad @dandays 😉 I think you should try again. Steemitboard is not coming. You need to try it again this week.
If you still have time.. than try 2 post a day for a week started from monday to monday 😊

What kind of weather you expected when you stay on the equator line country?

They’ll be here, it’s early and I think they’re still waiting for the coffee to brew, I have no doubts they’ll stop by and hook me up with my new equipment. 👍🏿

Did you say two posts a day?? No way! I don’t think I could do that, I spend way too much time on them.

Today’s forecast: hot, ugly, uncomfortable and undesired air you can taste. How’s that for a description. 😉

Thanks for stopping by, @cicisaja. Thanks for supporting my 7 day streak!

Well.. it should be there right after you post it 😉 but I hope they'll show up soon😊

I'm living close to equator line though not right on it like "kalimantan" but I understand the weather 😂😂😂 I've been living with such weather for 44 years, and it won't change no matter how much I critised it 😅 I can't change the weather.

Why not 2 post a day? You are not running for curie vote so you have to create at least 1k words😯 create a post with single picture and 300 words... make a serial posts from 1 post you used to create 😂😂😂 you need some strategy to win a badge! I failed to get the daily author badge even I tried it 4 times to post 4 post within a day.. I'm looking forward to try it again.

Wish you all the best ... enjoy your day and the weather too.

Ok, I already knew you were a sweetheart but what’s this?! You’re tech savvy, too?

just when you think you know someone.....

Ya’all are most likely accustom to this weather—more power to you and God bless you guys. I, however, am having a hard time acclimating from the air conditioned side of the window!

I'm trying to throw a provocation 😁 what do I know about tech😆 i just think about another strategy.

And you will survive too! You did it when "blend with other" thing few weeks ago. So.. you will succeed on aclimating too. 😂😂😂😂

Good post sir, thank you for share, you have given me valuable knowledge about the warmness of Costa Rica

My pleasure, Brandt. Thanks for hangin out with me, I appreciate it.

Only here, in the southern most part of the country, down by Panama. It’s bad right here. The mountains of the Central Valley, and all of guanacaste province is great, the weather is perfect over there.

Thanks for stopping by, @brandt.

aha I see, so costa rica also has coldness? more valuable knowledge, thank you sir

Well, that answered my question of whether or not you posted for seven days in a row. Congrats you did it.
The second picture of your view seems more appropriate, as it looks as though there are bars on the window, locking you in and keeping you out of that miserable heat. A two week stay at each destination seems to be the answer to not getting stuck in a place that doesn't meet up with your expectations.
Your description is very much like what I would expect Hell to be like, minus all of the good visuals.
Could not even click on the Barry Manilow link, and was thinking, wow that heat is really getting to @dandays, he is even loosing auditory abilities. Changed it up to Yelawolf, now that's more like it.
Do you know where your next stop will be?

Oh crap, @thebigsweed! You gotta check this out, do you know how envious I’ve been of everyone of that wall of fame?! I can’t write ‘awesome’ big enough. I’ve tried for that one for so long and blabbing my thumbs about it as you read!!

A big laugh outta Barry Manilow—yeah, it was real tough for me, too! Thinking about it is actually kind of funny, though.

Yes’ir. We’re making our way back west, back where the weather isn’t miserable and less snakes, if you know what I mean. We’ll be at Jaco next week, La Fortuna for a week and then a month at Coco Beach, a place we already know we love!

What about you, I saw all of your spring pictures, do you have gardening and farm stuff packed in your schedule?

Thanks for stopping by, @thebigsweed. Thanks for stopping by every day, too, that’s awesome! You’re one of the coolest people I’ve never met.

In clicking on the links to see exactly where your next two stops would be, I ran across this land feature in La Fortuna. "Arenal is often cited by scientists as being in the top 10 or top 20 of the world's most active volcanoes."
Remember, a wise man once said, STAY SAFE!
@dandays, when I find a place I really love, I loose my sense of adventure and just want to return to that place.
Coco Beach must be really nice if you are going to be there for a month.
Yes we are gearing up for the growing season. We have started tomatoes and peppers from seed, but it will be several weeks before we can plant outside.
Building a couple more tables to place the boxes on, a number of them presently sit on the ground, The slugs play havoc with the cabbage and squash, and by getting them up, we are hoping to put that problem to rest.

That's right go ahead and gloat, you deserve to be recognized by the community! This should put a little swagger in your step, well deserved my friend.

A great idea to publish 7 days in a row @dandays, because your posts about travel are always rich and interesting!

Happy Monday, @serkagan. What’s on your agenda this week?

Thank you for the encouraging words, it’s comments like this that keep me going. 👍🏿

Thanks for stopping by, @serkagan.

I hope all your posts can be useful and have good quality

That makes two of us! Could you imagine hoping for poor quality?? 🤔

Thanks for stopping by, @ustazkarim.

Dear Artzonian, thanks for using the #ArtzOne hashtag. Your work is valuable to the @ArtzOne community. Quote of the week: Art, freedom and creativity will change society faster than politics. -Victor Pinchuk

Of course! I’m happy to mention, in big bright lights, each and every sponsor I got—thanks for the recognition.

Put an ice pack on your heads, under your arm pits and down your shorts...then you'll be fine going out for a stroll.

I was “did he just say heads, with an S?” Read on a little further about dropping an ice pack down my drawls and “yep!! He sure did!”

Thanks for the laugh this morning, @angryman! You’re good at doing that, you know? Making a virtual stranger laugh, that is.

Thanks for stopping by, @angryman—I really appreciate you following along last week, knuckles and/or hand shakes right here—whichever you prefer, sir.

38C and air you can drink? Now that is my kind of weather!

Hey! What a pleasant surprise this is! It seems like as soon as I clicked your follow button you vanished. “Hmm.. is it something I didn’t say “ 🤔 Great to hear from you again, where you been?

Thanks for stopping by, @coloneljethro.

Ps—you’re free to rinse out your whole entire mouth with it! 😉

I kinda randomly decided to take one of my periodic 'vacations' from social media. I've always had a love/hate relationship with social media, whenever it starts getting to be too much I just walk away from it for a while. My apologies for the abrupt disappearance. Now I just gotta catch up on everything I missed...

Ps--I shall! I'll take that over being cold any day!

“Yeropeans”

FEVEN

My man! Your appearances are always pleasant

Thanks for stopping by, @carklevicci.
