This season is probably going to suck for Real Madrid

A few hours ago Madrid had the last game of the pre-season against Roma, and as usual, the team was a disappointment. Hazard is not justifying his price nor his salary, and without a real killer the sensation is that this team is pretty harmless when attacking.

These problems started in the summer of 2017 when Madrid decided to sell important players such as Pepe, Morata and James (who is currently back). In 2016-2017 Real Madrid was the best team without discussion with a lot of excellent substitutes that were key to winning LaLiga. After that summer, the team has been getting worse and worse, the main players are now older and the substitutes are not that great. Without CR7 Madrid doesn't have a single killer, while Barcelona currently has at least 2 killers (Suarez & Messi) and we can even count Griezzmann as a killer or at least as a top player. Liverpool on the other hand has 3 amazing players in the attack...

Besides, Real Madrid has been unable to acquire expensive players for the last few seasons, the only exception is Hazard and he had only 1 year left of contract with Chelsea. Pogba didn't come. It is really sad to see this team losing competitiveness with each passing year.

Only 10 years ago Real Madrid in one summer bought 2 ballon d'or (CR7 & Kaka) a top midfielder (Alonso) and a promising striker (Benzema). Right now, Real Madrid cannot even buy a top midfielder and much less a player capable of winning a ballon d'or. Letting Mbappe go to PSG is probably Real Madrid's worst mistake in recent times.
