Thoughts about Neymar, Real Madrid & Barcelona

I don't know what to think about the possibility of Neymar playing for Real Madrid next season. Despite his skills and his creativity when attacking, I see this player as a problematic individual who also gets injured for several months almost every season.

For the last 2 years he has been at least 4 months injured per season, and given the fact he is one of the most expensive players in the world, giving him a contract is high-risk business. Besides, he probably prefers to return to Barcelona.

With PSG, in part due to his constant injuries, he ended up being surpassed by Mbappe, and since Mbappe is much younger, it would be difficult for Neymar to be the real #1 of that team. In Barcelona, since Messi is a bit older he could eventually be the #1 star of that team with Griezzman a close second.

Nevertheless, if Neymar goes to Madrid at least that team will have an opportunity to win trophies, ever since CR7 left a year ago the team has been a mess and Hazard is good but not good enough to allow Madrid to compete for the Champions League or LaLiga. With Neymar this team will clearly be stronger as long as this player doesn't cause any problems and doesn't get injured (which are both highly unlikely things to happen).

One of the biggest mistakes that Real Madrid did in recent years, was not selling Bale to United when Mourinho was asking for him, and allow Mbappe to go to PSG. If instead of Bale Madrid had Mbappe the team wouldn't be enduring the current crisis. But hey... at least they have won 4 Champions League in this decade, a great record.
