According to the FBI's counterterrorism divison, there has been more deaths and arrests made over domestic terrorist threats at home than there has been overseas in recent years.

They claim that there is a rising number of crimes that have been targeting people in the country, noting that extremist ideology and hatred continue to be spread widely online. They are seeing mobilization much quicker and they note that domestic terrorism is often rooted in anti-government extremism, environmental extremism, or it's racially-motivated extremism.

One United States 'fusion center' which provides law enforcement with intelligence meant to enhance public safety related to terrorism, several years ago determined that Ron Paul qualified as such a threat; suggesting that he was a domestic terrorist.

More specifically, they determined that support for Paul's presidential bid was a sign of membership in a domestic terrorist group.

This is a man who promotes self-ownership and self-responsibility, perpetuating a consistent message of peace, and the claim that he is a man who is looking to harm or terrorize others couldn't be further from the truth.

What the state considers terrorist activity at times is debatable, especially since they oddly neglect to include their own foreign policy actions under the umbrella of the term. But surely the victims that suffer the violence see it as such, that it's no more than terrorism; regardless of what name you give it.

According to the FBI they say that domestic terrorism is on the rise, despite the past almost two decades that the state has been trying to "deal with the terrorist threat", it's now more prevalent than ever.

Anti-Terror Efforts Will Never Be Stopped

The wars that have been launched which we're told are meant to address the threat of terrorism, we can assume will never come to an end, when now after 15+ years it's more needed than ever. And we should also be worried about the requirements to be considered such a threat by the state as they have previously been considered controversial to say the least.

According to the FBI, they say that the current threat of terrorism is present in every area of the United States and that it will impact every walk of life, so again we need to ask ourselves what the past almost two decades has accomplished. However, they do admit that the number of current investigations is down from only a few months ago.

For those domestic terrorists that they are investigating, the FBI says that a great majority are white nationalists, who adhere to what they say are racist ideologies; many who promote anti-government and anti-authority sentiments.

They believe that the internet has been helping to radicalize these individuals like never before. You have to wonder if the skewed media coverage on certain issues has also helped to fuel their views any or if perhaps there could be more pressing matters for the organization to be focusing on at this time.
