A tough choice on quality content selection

I will start by saying that one man's meat is anothers' poison. So many times, I have been a witness to arguments which delibrate on the borderline of selecting good content and I've often wondered how we can ascertain what exactly is "good content."

To a person who likes music like symphonies, music like rap might seem too violent to such an individual while to someone who likes rap, symphonies might be too sissy like. The point is that it depends from what point of view we're viewing from.

Steemit is a place where the caption "register blog and earn" says so little yet it says everything.
There are different methods of writing and different readers for such. To "blog" means to give update on a particular discuss over a length of time.

Meaning something short actually satisfies the quota for being a blog post, however does the length of a blog post actually correlate with it's quality? A post of ten thousand words might end up not passing across any meaning, meanwhile a post of less than two hundred and fifty words might end on a better note.

I wish to say this: a person's country doesn't necessarily limit your mental performance in any field. The reason why I said this is simple, I am from a third world country, that doesn't mean my brain is a third class material.

The problem with content is that not every content is meant for everyone, sometimes the person writing might be putting his/her emotion into writing and yet it won't mean so much to you and that is because you're not resonating with what is being written.

If it was about length, then trust me, twitter wouldn't be so popular. But herein lies the problem; each niche has specified what exactly is needed (minimum and maximum count) to be classified as a tweet, Facebook has not necessarily put a cap but we all understand that.

This platform has its own set of rules on blogging which borders on no plagiarism, spamming and you're good. I cannot say this is necessarily a plus or a minus, however, I can say that it was intended with the best of intentions. Now we read complaints about a blog posts not meeting certain standards as defined by authors, but here is the big question...

What standards actually makes a blog post "quality?"

People complain about the lack lustre in blog contents but have we defined what exactly comprises the term quality? Until we unilaterally decide on what gives, the term quality remains personal and as such might be exploited as per discretion.

Please do not miscontrue my words, what I'm saying is simple. Until we decide what we want and what we don't want, then a person can write what he/she feels and as long those words have meaning to the person and the dictionary can give a meaning, then can it not be said to be quality?

However, when rules are enforced as a must in a decentralized environment, what actually happens to decentralization?

Thank you

Hi @ehilboss, Yes, you are absolutely right, the post written in the blog does not matter, but the quality of the post written in the blog is the most important. Almost people copy and paste into another blog, in such a way that post can not be considered as a good quality post, I enjoyed the information about you. I've followed you. If possible, please help me a little too, thank you and a nice day
