Syria: The Media at it Again

The battle to reclaim Idlib had not even started when the mainstream began raising concerns over the use of chemical weapons by Assad’s government forces as well as potential casualties to be recorded from the onslaught. Now concerns are valid when they deal with lives, but not when they possess hidden motives.

For a while the allegations of Chemical weapons usage has been purported and heavily publicized. Still unproven, sanctions and attacks against the Syrian army and its allies have continued despite the lack of substantial proof. It really does feel like the allegations are a cheap pathway to ensuring that Assad somehow is forced out of office as has been purported from the beginning.

The heavily publicized ‘Chemical Attacks’ carried out in April were blamed (and is still) on the Syrian Army by all and sundry despite a lack of confirmation or substantial evidence.

Interestingly, the report, issued by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the Nobel Peace Prize-winning agency mandated to implement the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention, noted that “no organophosphorus nerve agents or their degradation products were detected” on the scene—more simply put, there was no evidence of Sarin nerve agent present at the incident site, despite wide speculation otherwise at the time of the incident.

Despite this relative lack of substantial evidence it did not stop the Air strikes against the Syrian Army in April and it has not encouraged caution or factual reporting from the media.

Russia is alleging that All Qaeda affiliates in collaboration with the white helmets plan on carrying out Chorine attacks and framing the Syrian Army. We have already been informed about the likelihood of a military response against the Syrian Army should there be any suggested attacks so it might just be the perfect excuse to continue a seemingly never ending war.

Sort:

We stop war by voting, calling, pressuring congress, government, media, and everything. We educate. We do stuff, online, offline.

Voting really doesn't make sense to me.
"Unlike in other U.S. elections, the president and vice president are not elected directly by the people. Instead, they’re chosen by “electors” through a process called the Electoral College.

The idea of using electors comes from the Constitution. The nation’s founders saw it as a compromise between electing the president by a popular vote among citizens and electing the president in Congress."

But I agree with you, education and attitude are very important.

I like the Electoral College.

It’s just too good to be true! Definitely happened but it wasn’t Assad I’d say
