UAE - Just As Guilty
A lot of my coverage of the Yemeni war has been condemning the Saudi-Led Allied forces against the (possibly) Iran backed Houthi Rebels that has seen the vicious bombing of civilians and has sparked a major humanitarian crisis in its three year tenure.
As Saudi gets some flak for the Murder of Jamal Khashoggi and with a little more attention being turned to the atrocities committed by the Saudis in Yemen, there is one other accomplice that has managed to stay under the radar, relatively undisturbed in the Middle East.
UAE is as involved in the Yemeni war as much as the Saudis, having actual boots on ground. The UAE-led military offensive in and around the port city of Hodeidah has been a catastrophe: over 400,000 Yemenis have been displaced since June and the fighting has considerably worsened the country’s already alarming food crisis and famine. There are also allegations that they operate 'torture chambers' in Yemen reported by Human Rights organizations.
What's more the country has also been linked to illicit flow of money that finances various terrorists organizations including Al Qaeda and the Taliban.
Unfortunately, just like its 'Big Brother', it manages to stay in Western good books and has sought to increase its influence in recent times with Millions of dollars being used to finance several projects/campaigns in the US alone.
It remains highly doubtful that any form of redress will come and they will be made to account for their actions.

Hi Jose. I wouldn't say am a fountain as it is kind of common knowledge. We all have our interests I guess and the Under reported Conflict zones are of major interest to me
