Yemen: Money Talks...Even Blood Money

The atrocities continue in Syria 2.0, A.K.A Yemen as a school bus carrying kids was once again victim to the ceaseless and aimless airstrikes by the Saudi Coalition. As far as outrage goes, there is nothing, absolutely nothing more saddening than hearing reports of innocent kids slaughtered in another egotistical meaningless conflict that the west choose to get involved.

Still there is relative silence from the World. No one has even gone as far as calling Saudi to order - which should be the least action that should ould be taken at this point. Rather, Countries are too interested in the profits and 'economic impacts' from those sweet Saudi dollars buying up weapons to actually care.

Canada is a prime example. With $14.8 billion dollars worth of weapons sold to the Saudis, all they could do was distance themselves from the massacre that occurred - without feeling the need to reprimand Saudi for their actions. As a matter of fact, the recent criticism over the poor human being rights record of Saudi, that prompted a withdrawal of their student nationals studying in Canada - is the biggest action taken so far by Canada as far as the atrocities are concerned. As per usual, Saudi withdrew some of their cash with a threat to take away more if they can't look the other way, and they did.

It is not necessarily unique to Canada anyway, as has been a recurring theme with the Swedes falling victim to 'money power' in the past. This profiteering and strange justification as a result simply shows why the UN has been so ineffective (useless) in performing its one and only functioning of ensuring World peace.

Those who benefit from war knowingly cannot be entirely sperated from those who carry them out. It is reprehensible in any standards or form to claim ignorance for crimes committed with your aid. War against humanity is a crime, and those who profit- one Way or the other, are nothing but criminals.

Sort:

How did the Saudis get away with 911 and now sending a picture of a plane flying into a the famous tower landmark in Toronto warning them to watch themselves. Its unbelievable how countries don't hold them to rights but oil still rules I suppose. If Iran did that there would be war. The two kids in the back of the ambulance in Syria is heart breaking. They are kids. They should be happy and playing. What will these kids turn out like in the future if they survive is the worry

This is sad, I hope we can stop the circle of violence...

Canada isnt a good example.
Because Canada is a country. It is abstraction, a theoretical, notional word.

The criminals are persons, and they have name. And those persons built a system, what take profit from violence.

Here is two kind of sinners: a men, who make it, and a men, who watch it in silence.

Saudi also not a criminal, because it is a country, but in Saudi live many criminals, who want to kill other people. No matter why, for money, for land, for the religious folly, the are just trash of mankind.

Yes, I admit I was wrong to portray the Whole country; it's the unscrupulous people within who profit I was actually referring to

howdy today empress! yes I was sickened when I saw this. I didn't know that Canada was a major arms supplier, I figured it was mostly the U.S. I don't know that much about the conflict, why are they doing this? Because Yemen has rebels they want to kill? or are they just trying out new weapons systems?
