What are the possibilities of the 50/50 reward system?
Yesterday, I was talking about the probable implications of the 50/50 split of the post payout for both author and curators. In my post, I sounded optimistic about it and I thought that it might help boost the motivation of the SP holders when it comes to curation. I believed that until I recieve some insight from commenters which is giving me the impression that the 50/50 split might not really solve the issues in this platform.
At this point, I'm already at the fence about this idea.

On a separate yet related topic, most of the dApps have implemented the "Beneficiaries reward" to every post that the author created using the specific dApp. Each dApps vary when it comes to the percentage of their cut, some is as little as 4% while some are 10%, 15%, & at some point DTube implemented a 25% beneficiaries reward. In the case of DTube, part of the 25% beneficiaries reward will be distributed to the curators of that specific post and the amount will vary depending on the amount of their upvote. That setup seemed to motivate some of the Whales to upvote DTube posts since they are essentially being rewarded with a 50% curation reward directly and indirectly.
On top of that, DTube's massive SP will also result to a much higher post payout when it's utilized to upvote the specific post. In essence, even if the author will only recieve half of the payout, in most cases the amount of payout is still greater compared to a regular steemit post that might not acquire any whale upvote & dtube's vote. So it seems like a win-win for both authors & curators.
Recently, DTube brought the beneficiaries reward down to 10%, which surprised me since I always thought that the initial percentage is working quite well.
Anyway, if the 50/50 reward split have worked for quite some time, what do you think is the reason why it won't work now?

Hello, how were you yesterday, reading your article. But the one of another companion I believe that, we would win much more Sp. For curación but it does not matter since, in the same way you will win by cure. I do not know what I see and that after the update, the curación profits were increased

It really depends on how the author justifies their post's expected reward. If it is justifiable with the 50/50 reward system, I do think it is workable. Of course, to get a 25% beneficiary reward from the post, the platform has to add some ohmm to the post by having a large pool of SP.
