Chengdu Street Photography
Larry Hallegua , a British photographer based in Thailand, has taken pictures of street scenes since 2011. During a year of teaching English in the Sichuan capital in 2014-2015, Hallegua creates a series "Made in Chengdu", a frank observation of a city in full economic ascension. The ephemeral scenes reveal an imminent transformation: the emergence of a middle class, the changing social dynamics and the search for a balance between tradition and modernity.
