Thought 03 | All About Someone's Perspective

"How do you see things through?"

In my opinion, traveling is the medicine for the soul. It brings joy, wonder, insight, and experience to a whole new level that we don't know our soul needs. And in each travel we do, we bring forth new decisions and actions that help define our growth.

During our travel to #HongKong for the 2nd time, we went to places that we haven't been to. One of it was named the Sky100, the observation deck at the 100th floor - the highest viewing point in Hong Kong located at the 12th highest skyscraper in the world, the International Commerce Centre. It is a beautiful viewing deck, vast and airy. Normally viewing decks doesn't attract my attention because they are usually packed with people, sometimes they have a foul odor and you have to push through people just to get a good shot of the cityscape it provides.

This doesn't do well with a claustrophobic like me!

Being there actually brings a sense of calmness and you can focus your eyes on the marvelous cityscape of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Island, beautifully divided by the Kowloon Bay. And it somehow makes me think while absorbing the view: life is definitely all about perspective. The way we look at things differs at how we perceive them.

Walking down below through the rugged the streets of Hong Kong, you hear the sound of the beeping stop light, the bustle of people and the rush of the vehicles. You see the juxtaposition of the old colonial house beside the glass buildings, the tangled overhead electrical wires on posts and the busy markets with aunties and uncles trying to get more customers.

In 2 words, it is an organized chaos but on at the viewing deck, it is structured and well-zoned. The chaos is hidden and you see only the visible.

This is very similar to how we view our life. Sometimes we don't see what we have up close until we go farther. Sometimes we think a problem is so rigorous but when we see it in a different angle, it is only so simple.

It is always better to see things in a different standpoint to get a clearer picture and to reflect.
