A fun day at the Farmer's Market
Every Thursday We Visit the Farmer's Market
This Thursday is the farmer's market day. It's a fun time, there are live concerts in the evening, food trucks and every evening a raffle.
Our family won the raffle!
The Raffle included samples from most of the vendors at the market.
Beets and Lettuce
Snack foods and spices.
Chocolate Gannache... yum!
An Albino Black Rat Snake
While we were at the market, a naturalist was there offering children the opportunity to pet a snake.
My daughter has never seen a real snake before, she was very brave allowing the snake around her neck!
These snakes are usually black and like to snack on mice and rats.
Not quite at @papa-pepper level yet, but it's a good start!
Next visit to the Farmer's Market I hope to get more photos to share!

What a blessing your daughter has never seen a real live snake before. We have some really venomous snakes here. We lost our Garfield to a cobra last year. Constantly pray for ABBA's protection. Well done on winning the raffle. A double blessing for Shabbat!
Yes, it's a blessing to get up-close and personal with a harmless snake, rather than confronting one in the wild. This snake is not venomous and was very docile. What's the story with Garfield? @ironshield
We think the cobra got the better of him at some point during the battle. We found the half cobra but Garfield died from a snake bite. So sad he was the favourite of our (then) 6 cats
