5 de Mayo Chronicles
A couple of days ago it was the typical celebration of the May 5th party, maybe one of the most awaited dates during the year. On May 5, the streets are flooded with people eager to have a good time, in addition to soaking up a little more of the Mexican traditions.
On May 5, it is one of the most incredible events I have seen since I am living in the United States. See how all people celebrate the best Mardi grass style is amazing and do not forget that on that day we have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of typical acts of Mexico.
It is the first May 5 that happened in Miami, because as you know I live in Houston and there although it is also celebrated in a big way it is something a little shyer. However, in Miami, it is totally different since most nightclubs are totally saturated with people eager to have a good time in the best Mexican style.
What I love the most about May 5 is the possibility it presents to somehow evade the rules since on that day it is allowed to drink, dance and in a few words take the party to the street. To be able to celebrate with all kinds of people without having more concern than to keep your glass empty.
