In places like India, some doctors wear short-sleeved white coats, others like in a medical school in Virginia wear a neoprene vest with several pockets, they say it's comfortable, it does not limit movement and functional, although there's no studies that this vest decreases the transmission of bacteria is common sense that is better than a long-sleeved robe.

We should prefer to wear closed shoes and an easy-to-clean, puncture-resistant material, and ladies wear low-heeled shoes.
