People who are manipulated, remaining unaware that they are furthering an agenda set by others....
IF the intelligence agencies had access to computers, and social media programs years before they were publicly accessible.
And IF the intelligence agencies ran psychological experiments on social media, to observe the behaviors of the users, both online and offline...
And IF the intelligence agencies found that prolonged use of internet communications led to division , echo chambers, and alienation from each other (both online and offline).
And IF they are the arm of the new world order (communism), then applied the knowledge they'd gained, this would give them the perfect tool of the Stalinist strategy implemented in the late 20's, early 30's in the agricultural expanse of Russia- whose entire purpose was to divide and conquer the farming population to then gain centralized control.

...Imagine if the intelligence agencies already knew the long term consequences of social media on individuals, and communities - and they actually don't care what views you express, left or right.
Imagine if all they care about is just you interacting - and thus will adopt behaviors and social isolation that they already know about..?
Ideology is irrelevant, participation is paramount....
Which makes us all useful idiots perusing our truth in this arena...
IF they access to all the technology before the rest of us...
Then they could have conducted precisely these kind of long term social experiments, and with full knowledge of the effects. ..but only if they huge budgets, and total secrecy...

I believe that all those who support this or that ideology, or all those who strongly oppose this or that ideology, are useful idiots. Like all those who support a specific group of people, or all those who oppose specific groups of people.
Because they are manipulable, if someone is conservative (for example) it is easy for the rulers to deceive them with a dichotomy and predict what they will do. If someone is anti-conservative (on the other hand) the same thing happens. The same with all ideologies.
And if you support this or that specific person, it can be Trump or Putin, Hillary or Bernie, it does not matter, because you will be dogmatic, you will be a useful idiot, because these people can do something that hurts you, but you will accept it because you support them. On the contrary, if you are anti-them, you are manipulable because they (powerful people) only need to put their face in something that you thought was good to demotivate you.
We are all idiots, and useful for something. The question is whether we are idiots useful for others, or idiots useful for us, and if we fight for (or against) ideologies or for (or against) leaders/politicians, then we are useful idiots for others, if we fight for ourselves and for what we believe is right, then least we will be useful for ourselves.

Yeah that sounds about right. Hell I might just be one of those useful idiots that always thinks everything is a scam myself.
Maybe I'm sort of like a flat earther - another one of those people who think they have some inside info when really I just have a pole up my arse making me jump up and down. Better not go there!

Odd thing...I can't seem to get excited about anything that happened almost a hundred years ago. I know it's history and all that but my experience has been that most history is a lie. It has to be. Newspaper reports prove themselves to be lies every day and history is mostly a compilation of those reports.
I suppose you can have a lot of fun digging through all the old fiction...more power to you.
I'd rather look to the future.
Technology is the rudder of civilization therefore I find it more interesting to attempt to keep up with it than past falsehoods.

Interesting thought, I wouldn't put it past them to do such. Social media is a mind suck in that people just get obsessed with it and are all consumed by it. I used to be moderately obsessed so I can certainly see the goal of this.
