Gecko invasion, the final assault begins..

Sending in a scout to recce the position, we spotted the enemy. His camouflage letting him down........

10:30 pm

We are under attack!

Gecko's are attempting to retake territory cleared by Felix only the other day...
And they are sending in their big guns (or big Gecko's in this case).

8 inches of throbbing (wobbling) lizard....

After several loud calls to scare us out of the house, we thought he was making for the exit to join his friends, but no....

He was sprinting for the bike helmet, to take cover!! (well, waddling more than sprinting. Geckos waddle)

We barricaded ourselves in the bedroom, chair under the doorknob.... to the sounds filling the night " geck -co, geck -co, urhhhh."

He was probably calling for back up, having established a beach head. (or a living room head, whatever)

….7:30 a.m.

We sent out our recce force out of 'bedroom HQ', to check out the enemies positions.
He had established his HQ in the bike helmet. His tail wouldn't fit in, so we kept a note of it, as a possible weak point for a counter attack...
Supplies were found (coffee), and so we headed back to HQ to fortify us for the coming day....

Several other gecko units have been spotted outside. Support units for later assaults possibly. No intel at this point.

...I can feel it - they are just waiting for dark, using flying insects a cover, and they will be in. Our defenses will be breached .
A last stand in bedroom HQ.
If we are besieged, we cannot hold out... We will have to forage for coffee tomorrow morning, come what may...

18:00 p.m.

It's getting dark, and they are communicating rapidly to each other... " Geck -co, geck- co, geck - co ,urhhh".

Waiting in trepidation for the second assault to begin as the light fades...

Felix has abandoned his post earlier today, and has not returned, as yet. We fear for his safety.....or he has found a mouse, or something.
There are a lot of gecko's....
