IQ, bell curves, and the 4%...part 2

The characteristics of the personalities that make up the 4% will mean that they rise to the top in the social structures that we have in place.
(in conjunction with the IQ. A very low IQ psychopath is unlikely to rise to the top of law firm, for example, but be a fantastic soldier..).

They are very possibly the reason for the social structure we have today, in fact.

My own historical studies has shown nothing to counter this.

History is one long story of populations coming together, and finding conflict with other adjacent populations.
(Generally over resources of some kind).

There is an argument that is made for the 4% being the next stage in human evolution.
An emotional mutation which doesn't deal with the emotional side of our brains in the same way. And has much less relevance to any actions as an individual may carry out.
Sentiment (part of emotional human bonding) has no place.

While this can be made out to be a valid Darwinian argument, I disagree with it as a premise.

Firstly, the success of the human race has been based on cooperation, with the bonding of the family unit being the very foundations of it.
There is no deep emotional bonding in a family of psychopaths a sociopaths.
It is dog eat dog, with the strongest surviving, and the weaker discarded.
It's very dynamic is one of destruction through competition within the family unit, not one of expansion through mutual support.
Support created from the emotional bonds of being human.

If you take it to the extreme, let's say a population made of nothing but the 4% personality types, I can see no harmony, peace, or long term prosperity.

...think 'Orcs' in the lord of the rings, compared to the populations of Rohan or The Shire... I think the Lord of the Rings may well have been a social observation of the 4% and the consequences of allowing an inordinate amount of influence to be given to them.

This is why I reject the premise of the 4% being the 'uber human'.
The 4% are what they are . A part of the human race.
They just tend to be wankers.
But not always.

Mother Theresa? Narcissist or selfless?

It is easy - all too easy- to be fooled into letting appearance dictate your conclusions on a person. .. And the 4% are masters of this.
Deception that can last days or decades....benevolent actions for years doesn't mean the individual isn't one of the 4% - hence my point in the first part of my post, that the 4%'s actions doesn't always mean negative outcomes...

This is the main reason why it is so difficult to build a model accurately expressing what I am trying to show
We are dealing with deeply hidden psychological makeups.

But they are still there nonetheless - and they are still destructive on the whole.

IF we can see the problem, and how the 4% have created an imbalance in society today, we can counter it.
But we need to see what we are looking at, to counter it.

I think it can - very easily.

Ridiculously easy, in fact.

Before I can present you with the only concrete part of my thesis - the answer to the problem, I have - I have to illustrate - clearly how the problem manifests itself.
The remedy being the counter to the inordinate influence currently given to the 4% .

Back to plaiting steam....

In no particular order.... (that would imply my thoughts are structured)

md.jpg

....are all good environments for the 4% to excel in, and to gain more influence and power...

Small communities.
Families.
Openness.
Honesty.
Transparency.
Accountability.
Simplicity.

...are all environments in which the 4%'s influence is restricted, and contained.

If you look at the two lists above and track societies progression ( historically speaking) it becomes quite apparent how we have moved towards one list, and away from the other.

While larger communities and more anonymity become the playground for the 4% ( they are the human predators in society.), technology has allowed us to mitigate this. If we choose to use it for such purposes.

A state of transparency is the most debilitating, for the 4% to be in.

md.jpg

I will keep posting my meanderings - in the haphazard way I am doing - in an attempt to build fragments of the picture for others to see, hopefully bringing it together, to create a whole landscape that is easily visible.

'The 4% problem'

....It hovers above ALL political ideologies, any economic theory, any religion, any.....

If we, as a society don't get to grips with just this issue we will never change the hamster wheel we find ourselves constnaly running on, falling off, and then getting back on to again, keep running.

' The 4% problem' IS the problem. It has always been the problem. Bigger than all others combined, for the others combined are a just a symptom of the 4%.

The fact it is hidden, not a 'thing', and not talked about so much - tells you all you need to know.

The importance of non vilification.

The 4% are who they are, and as I keep reiterating - not always bad for society. And outright positive for society.

As such being 'in the 4% club' cannot be seen as a 'problem', but just a state of being for any given individual.

Here are some one liners to illustrate...

A vicious Rottweiler does a great job of protecting your property. You love your Rotty - but that doesn't mean you give it free reign to wander around freely.
Water is a essential for life, but too much of it and you drown

IF we can see the 4% as 'just another part of the human race', and not vilify them as 'evil', we are on the road to transparency, and that means the mitigation of their negative influences.

To do this, non vilification has to be the accepted cultural perspective.

If not - persecution will surely take over.

md.jpg

This would not only be counter productive to the aims of making a better world, but could be so detrimental for society, it could be dangerous for the prosperity of everyone.
Remember that it's the 4% that are the fearless, the explorers, the warriors.

There must be a _ place_ in this world for the 4%.
I might even go as far as to say we need them.

As you might have noticed, I've skipped past building my model to illustrate the 'the why and the how 'and gone straight to the solution....(I'll come back to that, when I can actually form a cogent picture to give to you).

The solutions are easy, cheap, and profitable to society.
They also broach some moral and ethical realities, which raises questions.
The questions it raises are friends of the 4%. Coincidence?

Our current cultural perspectives and values are products of the 4% and their influence.
It is a reality constructed by them, for them to proliferate. We have strip away the prism, to see it in different terms.

Back to the solution.....

Do psychological assessment of every child through the years of 4 to 16. Simple.

I'm not talking a yearly review here. I'm talking about every teacher being trained in these issues, and a continual reporting on characteristics, and behaviors exhibited throughout that time..As important as any educational subject.
I'm talking about non intrusive, close monitoring for a decade in the educational years.

IF done correctly (and a very close monitoring of the monitors - they are in the 4% too.), a very accurate psychological profile of each individual could be presented.

No 'good' or 'bad' profiles - just information for others to be able see.

md.jpg

Transparency.

And let those assessments - on every single individual - be on a public database for every one to see, if they so wish.

Transparency.

Hence the need for no vilification of anyone, with any personality traits. We are all human, interesting, different - we are all unique.

Let's not be scared of who we are, but let everyone see who we are instead.

A transparency similar to the days of old, when a community knew everyone else in it, and everyone knew the types of people they were dealing with.

No anonymity.

md.jpg

Only in this way, will be thwart the growth of the 4%'s negativity in society.

This does not mean no privacy!

I am a strong proponent for the individuals right to lots of privacy.

A one world data base of a psychological profile of an individual, (with no address) and ONLY that, could possibly add to privacy strengths .
You need no more information. It is what it is.

As someone who values freedom above most things - I'm aware of the issues it raises - but I'm also aware that unto itself - the only privacy you breach - Is the assessment of your psychological landscape.

96% of people would have little, or no issue with it.... Imagine no other personal information online, just this....?

Truthful politicians.
Ethical business partners
Openness.
Honesty.

And let the 4% take the productive place in society that they can most definitely do...just don't ever, ever give 'em the keys to the candy store...

md.jpg

Or let's take the keys back, rather...

Simple.
