WHY SHOULD YOU THINK BIG?

We have been told that 'big is bad'.

‘Big is Bad’ is a lie.

There is a negative association with going big, ask someone about big achievement and they think that it is hard, complicated, time consuming and overwhelming.

However, what we like to do is have our standards lower of ourselves as a lower trajectory feels safer. We do not know our own personal ceiling for achievement, so worrying about it is a waste of time. Going big is about having bold ideas. These might threaten your comfort zone but simultaneously reflect your greatest opportunities.

Sabeer Bhatia came to America with only $250 in his pocket. He created Hotmail which he later sold to Microsoft for $400m. According to his mentor, Farouk Arjani, ‘Sabeer’s success was directly related to his ability to think big’.

Everyone has the same amount of time and hard work is simply hard work. As a result, what you do in the time you work determines what you achieve. And since what you do is determined by how you think, thinking big becomes the launching pad for how high you achieve.

Really give that previous paragraph another check if you didn’t understand it, it’s a complex one to break down.

Don’t fear big, fear mediocrity. Fear waste. Fear the lack of living to your fullest.
