This series since its first season has undoubtedly caused a sea of emotions in the audience of Netflix, where parents very angry with the issues that the series touches, in innumerable number of times have asked for the cancellation of it.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, "13 Reason Why" is an original Netflix web series that began airing in early 2017, being an adaptation of the novel "Young Adult" by Jay Asher and thus achieving a great success and a shower of diverse criticism in the public.

What has made the series so controversial?

Easy, everyday issues that nobody dares to touch. And the most delicate of all suicide.

To begin to detail this criticism I am going to walk through both seasons giving them my score.

SEASON 1

The story was very well told and respecting the idea of the writer. The synchrony of the director of the series with the writer of the novel was noticed.

The performances seemed very good to be "new" actors and especially the demand for character that merited the characters of each one where everyone seemed a time bomb of emotions and they knew how to transmit it to the viewer.

The plot, in my opinion, became somewhat slow from chapter 7-8-9, and from my point of view, 13 reasons were enough to tire the audience. With 9 reasons, I think they would have left the public more than satisfied.
All the subjects were approached in a very good way and with the corresponding sensitivity, besides that the campaign of help for all those who need to be listened to in those moments of depression is to applaud standing up.

Clearly it is a fiction, but it leaves you a great message, both for the teenagers who see it and for the adults. In my case, it played a very important fiber in my life and it seemed great that topics like these are brought to light.
The open end seemed very alternative and it is perfect to the tonic of the series, and kept us thinking for a while about the possible results or consequences that could bring all that mess.

The dark side of this season: Although it is known that it tells the reasons why Hanna commits suicide? Through some cassettes that she left before dying and where in the first person she counts her journey until she reaches that decision.
This way of expressing his thoughts gave many ideas to teenage viewers who watched the series and who decided to commit suicide and leave cassettes. Therefore, parents believe that the series should be canceled.

Conclusion:
9/10

Season 2

I must confess that I was very happy to hear about the second season of the series. I felt that there were many loose ends and that they should please the fans and give them the opportunity to see how it all ended.

From chapter 1 to 13 of that season I was horrified by the ridiculous imagination of the producers and directors, since there is no continuation of the book and they had to get down to work to give sustenance and continuity to the original story, and that undoubtedly brought down the quality of the content a lot.

For my Hanna, last season, I am a martyr (and that was not bad), now, in this second, they almost made me think that I was the antichrist.
The subject of Jessica stole all the protagonist, but I thought that the emotions of the character did not coincide with last season.

The quality of script was regular, the performances followed me looking impeccable except for the actors who embody Clay and Hanna's mother, who noticed how they tried harder and fell into overacting.

No doubt she had many failures this season, but I'm not going to condemn her to the bonfire yet, since I consider that giving Hanna's soul a break was more than necessary and touching the gunmen in schools was the cherry of the cake.
This season also had a quite controversial ending where it was obvious that a third season would come (which has already been confirmed).

Conclusion:
7/10

Trailer season 2:

IF YOU ARE NOT THE VICTIM YOU ARE THE VICTIMARY

Once you see it complete I invite you to reflect on everything that happened there, if you felt identified with a character with even more reason. If your case is to identify yourself with Hanna, you are a brave man and you have all the honors for having had the necessary maturity to raise your head and move on. Parents who are upset I recommend that they see that series with their children and that way they can know a little better how difficult adolescence is, and that instead of placing restrictions and punishing them for seeing it, the ideal is to look in a mirror and wonder if the trouble comes because they are reflected with some of the cases counted there.

For those who have already seen the series, I ask them:

Did they live some of these experiences? Are they considered victims or victimizers?

Sort:

esta serie la he escuchado mucho, una generacion muy postmoderna padeciendo los problemas de hoy en dia.

is a good post, thanks
