Low Carbon Family Visit — First stint done
As mentioned in a previous post, I’m on my way to visit my sister who’s living in England.
My main goal for the trip itself was to include some physical activity while reducing the carbon footprint as much as possible.
This afternoon I left the office to take a zero carbon train ride to Rotterdam. From there I took a bike ride to Hoek van Holland and boarded the ferry.
One requirement when traveling by bike is to travel light. Here’s a shot of the luggage I’m taking for the weekend. Pretty minimal, what do you think?
Right now I’m on the ferry. I just parked my bike, checked into my cabin and ordered myself a cold beer:
I’m excited about tomorrow. I’m a bit worried about the weather, but I’m sure it’s going to be fun anyways!
