Mistakes in the Gym

Today was a rainy day so I decided to get my workout at gym and was reminded how many people make mistakes in the gym. For someone with extensive training, it can be painful to watch. It makes me believe that very few people know what to do in the gym or how to do movements properly.
So much has changed over the years and without the right information, you can waste your time or worse - risk injury. One of my greatest learnings over the years has been that you don’t need as much time as you think you do if you maximize your time.


Top mistakes I see In the gym:

Overuse of Cardio equipment and under use of weights.

This could very likely be because most people just don’t know what to do. Sure, cardio can help you spend energy, but lifting weights is what reshapes your body and leads to desired results.

Poor form.

Woah - this one really kills me. Many people use an incomplete range of motion, use too much weight or just really have no idea what they are doing. Before you do an exercise, research it and try to understand exactly why you are doing it and how to do it properly.

Repeating the same old workout.

Our bodies adapt to our routine which means we need to change things up to keep our body changing.

That is a sound points for doing correct gyming. But if someone is more interested in loosing weight then cardio is better than weightlifting I belive. ...or first loose weight through cardio and then use weigh to build shape

Hello dear ourdailyboard Gym people face first and foremost is going to be not going to the gym and not having a game plan okay having a game plan is essential you need to make sure either write down to workout routine beforehand or just have it set in your mind and know what you're going to be doing like today for instance I know have a chest and tricep workout I know exactly how many reps and how many steps are going to be doing how long is going to take me so this is really essential to make sure that you're you know having good intensity in your workout and you're just really focusing on the matter at hand second step is going to be hitting it too hard a lot of times you see people to go to the gym and they just load the weight on try to show off or you know yours there for hours upon hours what's really important here is you're just using quality weight doing quality reps you know not showing off to anybody you're there for yourself to better yourself into slow progress but you're going to get there and just be patient okay third point is going to be a gym etiquette this is a huge one a lot of times you see people that are new or don't is that exactly know what the etiquette isn't Jim they go into gym not knowing this they don't put their waste away there's a lot of chatter in between sets a whole bunch of things come into play with that for gym etiquette just make sure that you wipe down your cardio equipment after you're done usually a lot of people don't like the talk on the phone sets so try to avoid stay away from that and what not um four points going to be form form is huge okay form is so important because you want to make sure that you break them down to the muscles the right way and you're also dis avoiding hurting yourself basically with form you don't want to hurt yourself so using great forms really important you can go to a whole bunch of different websites to learn how to use proper form anywhere from bodybuilding com to ask a trainer just make sure that you figure out a proper way to lift that weight because that is essential fifth and final point is going to be Christian patricians huge if you want to see muscle growth or see results in the gym you know you can only go to the gym and lift weights that's only one part of it nutrition is huge okay make sure you're getting quality protein quality carbohydrates in before and after you lift weights okay this being before you lift weights getting proper protein in around 30 grams also make sure you're taking in quality carbohydrates anywhere from brown rice sweet potatoes this stuff it's going to give you good energy okay nothing unhealthy nothing that digests or opacity and then afterwards make sure you're taking in good quality carbs good protein okay so those are five five main points that new gym goers have to like tend to tend to face and how trouble with keep those in mind train hard focus on your goals and have a great day thanks

I agree with you. Personally, I use cardio for running. I think it's not a must have in the gym.
