This was a very recent article about a family that was connected by the heart of a young man that died too soon. Victor donated his heart to a Varnell Williams from New Jersey. This is a refreshing story in age of seemingly endless hate. This went back to something we all knew as kids, that we all have hearts, souls, and minds that we need to help others when able, whether that be donating blood or even organs.
Chapter Connection (2.5 pts)
The connection to Chapter 23 was made by Varnell receiving a heart transplant from Vicktor. Varnell is a 50 year old man needing another vital organ. He had previously received a transplant but failure in his ventricle. The family was sad to lose their brother and son to early but they were happy he could take a part in saving varnells life. They took turns using a stethoscope to listen to his pulse and cardiac cycle.
