Foodie's sneak peak

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

Today, we got a little sneak peak at the environment close to our future dream house!

I told you my boyfriend is pretty excited about the house aswell now. We'll be living really close to a big, open body of water and he'd love to use our inflatable kayak there. He says we'll make good use of the thing once we're there (we only used it once before) and he might even want to get an actual kayak at some point.

We'll have to see how it goes and how much we'll actually be on the water, but due to his excitement, he wanted to go have a little look over there. See how close we really are to the water. Google maps gave us a good idea, but still, real life gives the best idea! So we hopped in the car this morning to go check it out.

We drove over and checked how close the entrance to the park was to the water front. Well, my friends, it is very easy to do on foot. We won't even need to cycle there. Oh no, walking will be just fine!

And what a view! You'll probably understand why I couldn't stop smiling while we were walking around there. This will be our new environment in just two months time!

I am over the moon and it is still so surreal that this is really happening. This is like a one in a milion chance! Ofcourse the sale is not completely done yet, but papers are signed and after monday, backing out will mean a fine for the party backing out. So either we get out dream house, or we get paid 10% of the price as a fine. The only other reason the sale wouldn't go through is if we wouldn't get the finances in order. I have no doubt we will get the mortgage though, it shouldn't be any problem at all!

Okay, one other thing my boyfriend pointed out: The seller also shouldn't die before the final sale takes place, so let's all just stay in good health, okay?

So, I can't show you the new house itself yet, but I'm sure this impression of our future environment is enough to understand why I can't wait until the place is ours!

Have A Good Day

That sounds like a great place to live nearby - lots of open space and water!

Seems like there'll be some fun wildlife nearby to snag photos of, maybe - good luck on moving in 2 months' time!

I like the water, it looks clear. Any fish in there?

Oh yes, when we went to check out the house a few weeks ago, we saw a couple of guys heading over there with fishing rods :-)

I'm so happy you're both really excited about your new environment. My partner is a keen kayaker. He has four different boats right now! 😁

Oh my, four? All solid ones, or does he also use inflatable ones?

He's not keen on inflatable ones @playfulfoodie.

He has a sea touring kayak, a surfing kayak, an old surfing kayak he was given by a friend and a river/general purpose one! 😁
