I really do hate Wal-mart

I rarely ever shop there their slogan Always low prices is a lie. They come into communities and at first have low prices that draw people in. They keep the prices low till most of the competetion is killed then raise their prices. Oh but they have price matching you might say. Except that if I have a coupon for that item and I price match another store's sales item Wal-mart won't let you use a coupon on that item as they price match is the coupon. Many people think shopping at Wal-mart saves them but the reality of it is they are spending on average 20-30% more than if they shopped at Wal-mart competitors.

There are many other reason I hate Wal-Mart

But tonight for me was the last straw. It all the sudden went from cold to being very hot and humid outside. Today we got up to 92 degrees and this evening my husband after looking online said lets go to Wal-Mart and get a window air conditioner to help till our central air unit gets installed in a few weeks. He found one for $116 at Walmart so we went to the one down the road to go pick one up.

The air conditioner wouldn't scan

So we had to press the botton for help as all they had open was self check out. Finally after a 10 minute wait someone comes to help. It won't scan for her either. Nor will it ring up when she manually typed it in. Then she calls for her CM. We waited another 15 minutes for the CM to come by this time I am annoyed but looking forward to cold air. The CM comes over with another cashier who is telling the lady over self checkout that it has been working for her all day and then it failed for her too. So the CM punches in a code and finally it rings up. Except the computer pulled up the wrong item.

Security stops us on the way out

Our reciept doesn't match what it is the cart. Security guy acted like we were trying to steal the air conditioner. Not our fault we didn't ring it up the manager or CM rang it up. I told my husband I don't want to shop at Wal-mart again when security guy took it as a personal insult. I told him to shut up that I know he has a job to do. But I am tired of incompetent managers and the horrible customer service. Then I looked at my husband and said get our money back I am going to the car before I punch this man and go to jail.

I got my air conditioner at Meijer instead.

I paid $10 more for it. But I was in and out in 2 minutes. It rang up correctly and I am currently sitting in my recliner cooling off from the hot day. I rarely shopped at Wal-mart before today because of their business practices. But after today I will never set foot inside a Wal-mart again.

Here is a list of 10 bad practices of Wal-Mart

1. Low wages= rude employees
2. Lowers prices till they run out most of the competition then raise them higher than the competition.
3. Most meats unless frozen or vacumn sealed are package in Carbon Monoxide
4. Wal-mart uses companies that uses child laborers
5. Underpays females workers
6. Wal-mart profits billions of dollars while encouraging welfare benefits for their employees.
7. According to the Economic Policy Institute, trade between Wal-Mart and China resulted in the loss of 133,000 manufacturing jobs in the United States between 2001 and 2006. That is how number 4 happens.
8. Wage thefts my sister was apart of a lawsuit over that one.
9. They discriminate against disabled and elderly people
10. Only self checkout being open.

Disclaimer these are my opinions on Wal-Mart some based on my own experiences or off family members. And a few facts that can be easily verified.
