midterm procrastination, October 5th

A freight truck can be heard rumbling in the distance despite the hour of the night, at least one or two into the morn cold and wet like October offers at times. Comfort is under layers of clothing, insulated by blankets, but the art generates heat. Restlessness doesn’t always find utility, the devil’s workshop, engineers little use unless no effective change is the desire. Idle hands don’t pencil thoughts like multiple choice on a midterm. Rarely, do they fathom photographs, their significance or other story-telling techniques.

Idolatry in the limbs has one cure: continuity. Naturally, to be ‘restless’ or otherwise creative, many resources form the disposal from which the energy can be sourced. For every muse, a manic desire to taste another fruit simultaneously cries out. Sleep pulls the lids down like binds, but the writing instrument scribbles thoughts. The real price to creativity was the cost of switching gears: continuity.
