Una prueba más de lo incoveniente de mezclar la política con los negocios. PDVSA, fue la empresa del estado venezolano, con criterio empresarial de empresa privada, gozaba de autonomía y rendía dividendos para la nación. A partir de que el ciudadano Hugo Chavez, la transformó en su caja chica para financiar sus proyectos políticos y sociales proselitistas, quebró a la empresa, despidiendo al personal que tanto costó formar y profesionalizar.
