How to Prevent Common Fungal Infections

in #body6 years ago

The best way to spend the summer is on the beach or by the pool. This endless enjoyment, however, poses a great risk to women - vaginal yeast infections.
Fungus causes unpleasant symptoms such as itching, burning, redness, irritation, bad smell and thick, white secretion. Symptoms may worsen after sexual intercourse when itching and irritation increase repeatedly.

Limit sugar and processed carbohydrates

Natural yeasts living in the vaginal flora feed on sugars from our body. When the carbohydrates we consume exceed the allowable values, there is a risk of uncontrolled breeding. This is how the symptoms develop.

Alcohol also causes increased growth of fungal microorganisms in the body and nourishes them.

Avoid antibiotics

It is important to take an antibiotic only on prescription or as a last resort when there is no other treatment option. Antibiotics destroy the microbe throughout the body. This also affects the beneficial bacteria in the body and causes uncontrolled fission of fungal microorganisms.

Drink probiotics

Probiotics stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the body. They are mostly found in fermented foods, yoghurt, apple cider vinegar. If necessary, probiotics may be taken as a dietary supplement.

Try a vaginal probiotic

The use of a local probiotic is useful for restoring the natural flora of the vagina. Check with your gynecologist which probiotic is best for you.

Wear appropriate lingerie

Always choose cotton underwear. It allows the tissues to breathe, the moisture evaporates and the air circulates without any obstructions.

Avoid using a vaginal shower. It distorts the pH balance in the vaginal flora and hides the risk of inserting the microorganisms inside, where the infection may be far more dangerous.
