A book full of worlds
I just received an English edition of "A Dictionary of Imaginary Places" by Alberto Manguel and Gianni Guadalupi. It is a book I was looking for. The Italian edition is not available anymore, not even in the Used Books websites.
The DoIP is a catalogue of fantasy lands, islands, cities, and other locations from novels and stories in the world literature. There are Atlantis, Xanadu, Utopia, Lilliput and so many other imaginary locations listed and described (with maps, when possible) in the 755 pages of the books, as well as the Discworld and Middle-Earth of course.
Since I'm writing (almost finished actually) a novel about travelling in unreal places, this book is probably what I need right now. ;)
With that book you can find the inspiration you need to keep writing your story! That I would also love to read at some point
Looks cool! Is this the Italian edition that you are looking for? Quite pricey though.
