Lisbon For 91 Days: E-Book Travel Guide

in #books6 years ago

For three winter months, Jürgen and I lived in Lisbon, the capital and largest city of Portugal. Over the course of 91 days, we visited Lisbon's museums and palaces, got lost in its labyrinthine ancient quarters, and sampled every bit of food and drink we could get our hands on. We've now collected our Lisbon experiences into an e-book travel guide, with all of our articles and over 240 full-color photographs, in one handy, portable edition.

When I started using LonelyPlanet it was filled with amazing places off the beaten track discovered by intrepid travelers. Edgy places that you could experience. In the past 15 years or so guide books generally have all converged and you rarely discover hidden gems anymore.

I love your take on the travel experience and am interested to see what you discovered in Lisbon.

I totally understand, if you're for example in Lisbon for only a weekend you want to see the "best" so many guide books carter to this. But as for us, we discover the best places always towards the end of our stay. Mostly thanks to people we meet or readers sending us tips.

Me too, I guess it all comes down to your preference. Do you want to be able to go home and tell everyone at work you visited the Taj Mahal, or you sat for an evening getting to experience some local customs. The latter is not as glamorous but maybe a much greater personal experience. Of course there are things you just have to do like visit the Taj, so don't miss it 😀

I wouldn't miss the Taj Mahal either :) We're so eager to get back on the road! BTW I've sent you a discord message!

Congratulations for the book @for91days! It seems to be incredible! You're doing an amazing job displaying Lisbon to the world! Thank you :)

Thank you!!!! Are you on Discord by any chance?

Great to see that you finally made it into an e-book! It looks beautiful and informative from the previews. Hope everything is going well in Valencia - enjoying the Spanish summer! :)
