I can now say that Manny Pacquiao is one of the Greatest Of All Time in the sports of boxing. Just hours ago, he capture the WBA Welterweight Championship, his 5th welterweight championship, dethroning the heavy handed Lucas Matthysse of Argentina.

This fight would make or break Pacquiao because a loss would mean retirement for the 39-year old whirlwind from General Santos City. He was against the odds and only had a slight advantage over the young knockout artist.

Right from the opening bell Pacquiao was aggressive and brought the fight to Mathysse. He was trying to create a correct distance between them. Matthysse as we all know were slow starter. He swallowed some big punch from the southpaw.

The second round made Pacquiao punches more accurate landing more left that snapped the head of Mathysse. Mathysse were to hold on and fight back as Pacquiao slowly establishing his killer left.

Third round was a shock to many when Pacquiao landed an upper-cut perfectly landing in Matthysse's chin dropping him for the 8-count. The overhand right of Pacquiao set-up the perfect left upper that hit Matthysse. Matthysse got up to beat the count.

Fourth round was good for Matthyssse, he fought back from a knockdown and troubled Manny in some instances. Manny still had a busy hand between the two, throwing punches coming from different angles.

The fifth round started to become a one man affair with Matthysse slowing down a bit and made a knee from a delayed reaction from two head blows came from Pacquiao. That was his second knockdown of the fight.

In The sixth round, Manny Pacquiao already established his killer rhythm and throwing more deliberate punches with ease. Matthysse might be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of heavy punches Pacquiao was throwing.

The seventh round was just like the sixth round, Matthysse once again was caught by a left uppercut and went down, he spitted out his mouth piece that signaled Kenny Bayles to stop the fight. Manny winning by TKO on the 7th round.

This knockout was his first in the last 9 years, his last was when he KOed Miguel Cotto way back 2009.

The president of the Philippines watched the fight live with Malaysia's Prime Minister. President Duterte made a two thumbs up signal to Pacquiao and he thanked the president and Malaysia's royal family.

One again Manny showed a very convincing and exciting fight that opened again to a bigger and better fight anywhere in the world. The fight showed that he can do it even without Freddie Roach and he showed Bob Arum that he can promote his own fight. He showed that even with his age he still have his quickness that keep his opponent guessing.

He will for sure be back in the world ranking especially he holds the WBA crown which is the most coveted belt in all the sports of boxing. The partnership with Golden Boy might stay depending on what Arum would say.

Terrence Crawford or Vasyl Lumachenko would be a great fight but Floyd Mayweather will be the best fight everyone wants to see again.
