BAMBOO POLE BOXING

I am so tickled every time I take a glimpse over this game. We call it "Bugbugan sa Kawayan" or bamboo pole boxing which is a shift from the usual boxing in the ring. This is quite funny because both players stay at the top of the bamboo pole were they will fight and exchange punches. Among the contenders of these are gays wherein you can laugh your heart out. This really caught the hearts of our people and slated as one of the activities during our founding anniversary every September.

Bamboo pole boxing is really fun. Attached are photos of the players taken during last year's celebration.

At the first round of the game, both players are still at the top of the bamboo pole exchanging punches. See how the people, the spectators, look at each move they make.

In this photo, one of the players has gone down but he must not fall apart from the pole lest he will disqualified. Though it was raining yet the watchers remained attentive to how the contenders play the game.
