Hmmm. Fear, uncertainty, doubt. // Can i have some more motivation, please?

We all heard the news. Ned is dumping 70% of his staff and Steemit.inc is going into, what seems to be maintenance mode for the time being until the market picks up...
But thats not the point of this post. Shit like this happens all the time in crypto and tomorrow is always a mystery. Thats what makes crypto fun for me.
I wanted to talk about something else that happens when ever we run into stuff like this.

At this time like in time of all and any bear market you will undoubtedly run into post of this thematic:

"This is the time to stand together." "Now is the time to buy." "Now is time to HODL!". "Steem was at 0.07 cents and it went to $8!". "We must endure!"... etc..

You should completely disregard all and any posts like that..

Now you may be the one that writes something like that for a couple cents, you may write a comment like that somewhere and thats ok. We all done it and most of us are aware that it was just bs what we wrote...
Unfortunately, on social media, like in life, it matters less what was said, but rather who said it. And that works from any angle.. Meaning:
10k, 100k, 400k STEEM holders BS stinks much worse then 150 STEEM holders.

The main reason i despised facebooks and instagrams and social media in general is not only because of the data stealing, censorship, etc.

Its because of those puke inducing individuals that use their position and "authority" to affect opinion in potentially detrimental way for their followers. People that used the platform, its failures and advantages to get ahead and then when they do get ahead, they wave all and any responsibility.

Their defense placed behind the "My, page, i can say what i want" wall of moral corruption and/or stupidity. ("its only my opinion".)

The question is: "Why does this pass for wisdom?"

Its fairly simple.
Those most invested (time or money wise) in the platform like hearing that they made the right choice.

When you go to a discord channel of another cryptocurrency you will hear how great their crypto is, how its better then the other one, and thats true for STEEM discords, Steemit etc. And thats fine....

But STEEM leads to something more perfidious. While its normal that everyone shills the coin they believe in, whats different here is that you have people that will say what ever it takes, what ever it takes they will say, to get ahead. They wrap their bs in cellophane, sprinkle it with feel good thoughts, motivating words and some hugs.

They dont care if you have a mortgage on your house. They dont care if you have kids going to college.
They have the power to affect general opinion and they strip themselves of any responsibility.

Theyre akin to Soviet army commanders yelling: "For the motherland!", cheering you on into Nazi machine-gun fire.

Now is not the time for any of that Bulshit.

Now is the time to think really hard about your expectations for the platform, analyze its potential, look at whats in store for the future and what you can expect to get delivered.

Think for yourself and dont be lulled in by those that profit from being positive all the time..
