Handmade Shampoo Bar: Organic Aloe Vera and Lime
Most people use Aloe Vera gel as a remedy for skin conditions, including burns, frostbite, psoriasis, cold sores and hair strengthening.
In this blog, I will show you on how to make an organic handmade shampoo bar.
For the ingredients, use:

| shea butter | 40.8 g |
| distilled water | 91.43 g |
| essential oil(s) | 4.3 g |
| sodium hydroxide | 10 g |
| aloe vera | 5 fresh leaves |
| lime extract and peelings | estimated |
To start, peel the fresh Aloe Vera leaves then set aside its gel then get the limes' extract and mince its peel.
For saponifying, we need to not use the kitchen utensils. Use those containers that you are not up to as it is dangerous to use it again for food cause of chemical reactions from Sodium Hydroxide.
Note: Use gloves for mixing Sodium Hydroxide.
First, measure those ingredients. (we used triple beam balance) It is not necessary to use what we used. You can use any weighing scale.
After getting those complete measurements for all ingredients, pour in to a mixing bowl then mix until saponified.
When the mixture is already saponified, pour the essential oil and lime peelings.
When mixed, pour the mixture in to mold. (We used silicon mold for our shampoo bar which is usually used for baking)
Note: We purchased it for this shampoo bar making ONLY.
Wait until hardened.
Note: Settle it for few days before using so it will surely dried and hard inside the soap.
This handmade soap is just so easy to make especially when you are really interested and happy to try it at home for self/family use or even for a small business. It is not necesarry to use aloe vera or lime for your shampoo bar. You can also try different organic inhredients or add dried flowers to add scent and texture or beauty. If you prefer a body soap, the process and igredients can be the same.
