ICO(Initial coin offering)was promoted by two reputable individuals, one majors in the music industry as a DJ and goes by the name Khaled while the other is an outstanding boxer known as Floyd Mayweather.

According to CNN news DJ Khaled and Floyd promoted an initial crypto coin offering to the public on their social media accounts, received payment for it and kept it confidential.

According to this article, SEC says every ICO is deemed as securities under the federal securities laws. Therefore DJ Khaled and Mayweather were charged by SEC for promoting different ICO's without disclosing the money earned from the promotion. DJ Khaled and Floyd Mayweather earned over $50,000 - $300,000.

It is worthy to note, this is the first ever case trailed by SEC for prosecution and charges.
