They didn't hear the dog's whistle
Adamant, stiff necked, fricative like spittle
Mourners who will never listen
Sad heart that never gladdens
Bent on mood, closely looking
Would life has treated us right
Would have rejoiced as others
Will life ever do us right?
Will we be ever happier.

Hippies, rock and roll
Each one came, each we troll
Till all cultures are gone
Till all that was left is gone
Empty as a smoke
Weakness like air in the cloud
Tell me more honey, tell me
Who will we tell of this deed.

The end of all, we got nothing
Days and days of smoke puffing
Clearly rather see, becoming dim
Heart rather clean, kidney is now teal
To that innocent first time smoker
Come closer, see the profit
The eager ones, come, see the fire.

The end is near now, help
Stay with me honey, stay
Cough a little, ease a little
One last breathe remaining
