Helping my brother, Steem thoughts and food.

I went to my brother's today.

I managed to do everything he wanted including pulling some wires in his house.

What took me the most time was to get the connectors on the UTP wires.

I was never really good at it back in the day but after not doing it for nearly a year I lost the touch completely.

It took me about 10 tries to make a solid connection.

The floor was covered in pieces of wire and connectors but I got the job done in the end.

He was happy and I got a good reminder why I moved on :)

Speaking of moving on.

It was suggested to me today that I should start cashing out some STEEM to alleviate some of the pressure of the crypto downtrend.

But at these prices it just doesn't make sense.

Why sell Steem tokens I earn today for 80 cents if I can sell them for $10 in the years to come.

And all that time those 80 cents Steem Tokens are generating more STEEM.

I feel sometimes people forget that STEEM is actually a very good token to invest in and to hold with a great future perspective.

I personally don't see my earnings as a pay check...just as tokens I don't have to buy with fiat to invest. Very powerful when you think about it and even more when you think about the future use case of this token.

I have been grinding away for 2,5 years collecting them (besides buying them) and I expect to add some years to this number.

But the end result will be worth it. I can see it clearly.

I will be supporting different projects that will make the blockchain better one day with my tokens for a decent ROI.

This is my personal long-term vision for my own investment and I will stick to it.

Anyway, because I now live off a buffer we (Bianca and I) have been cutting down expenditures.

Not that I am in any sort of trouble but it's the only action that makes sense when income drops.

I don't mind it, the food still good :)

Bianca made this tonight. It was great.

Good night!

I powered up 5.600 Steem power 3 days ago. I have 16.500 SP now. My target is to reach 50.000 SP. I think prices are so cheap. It is one of the best time to power up! @exyle.

Congrats!

Nice Power up man! Congrats!

I noticed that you still have some witness votes left. I hope you will consider @blockbrothers for a vote if you think we are worth it.

I voted @blockbrothers for a witness now!

O wow! Thanks man! That's really appreciated by me and the rest of the team!

Yum! That meal looks delicious!! It's lunchtime here... i must be hungry LOL no kiddiding it doesn't make sense to cash out now if you can get by without it. The future is bright in tge token world and Steem does seem to be a stable and proven blockchain. It's going to be very interesting seeing where this goes in the future. Love seeing your beautiful smiling faces! Keep up the awesome engagement!

I never cared about saving money, because inflation makes that something of a futile exercise.
If I can avoid losing 2% per year, and make 2% per month instead; why on earth would I want to swap Steem for dollars?

The only reason I saved money is to have a buffer outside of crypto. I'm glad that I did with downtrend but you are right when you say inflation just eats at it. It's doing nothing for me really...

That looks like a tasty meal to me. It's awesome that you were able to save up enough to get you through this downtrend. Planning ahead is always a great idea. I have seen posts in the past were people are talking about cashing out and I have always tried to figure out at what amount I would say okay yep, that is good. Like you said though, why would I want to power down when my SP is just sitting there making me money. It would be like killing the goose that laid the golden egg. I am all about the passive income potential.

That is exactly it. The biggest problem with powering down and selling is that you never be able to earn those STEEM tokens back through blogging in any reasonable amount of time. Definitely not in the time it took to powerdown and because you sold part of your earning potential it takes even longer.

It makes me think of the lottery and all of these people that get their money and they just blow through it all. Once you spend it, it is gone, you can't get that back. No matter how hard you work if you go back to your old job. I am all about investing. Say I won $6 Million in the lottery. I would find a great place to invest it that gives me a decent rate of return. Say 3% That gives me $180,000 per year to live off of which is way more than I make now! Like I said, I am all about the passive income :)

You got it man! It's not about the total of the money it's about what it can generate for you. It's the key to success.

Ahhh nice dish yeah I'm cutting down also I only have a buffer for two months. They keep calling me I just turned off the phone. This is my other special phone only for crypto. I will make a post series about the cutting expences cooking for 10euro a week with a decent meal. Only less alcohol 😂. Question I have a few bucks in my miners shall I put it in steam or in my bot.

You are correct! As great investors do, buy when there is fear and sell when there is greed! This is a great time to continue the accumulation of SP!

One sausage!? Times are indeed hard! ;0)

There is room for a dirty joke here but if she saw I'm dead so I just leave it at this :)

Lol!

I wonder what dirty joke he was going to tell u

Lol, not so hard to imagine I think!

Edit I just clicked your profile and realised that you are Bianca!! Thank goodness I didn't elaborate! :0)

It was a great day, my friend, and although you have already lost the habit of your previous job, you managed and enjoyed your brother. In addition, you had a great dinner! Thanks Mark

Selling now is for idiots, personally i wouldnt sell even at $10. The roi you can get through delegating and in the future, lending resource credits will be good too. I just dont see taking it out even a option. Just live off the interest hopefully..

Congrats, someone thinks that your post was good enough to be deserving of a vote. Enjoy it.
