Roofing blog. The right moment to catch up!!!!
The last entry about my works I placed about 8 months ago. Apart from a few entries on steepshot I didn't have much time to write. A lot happened. As far as I can remember, the last mention in my blog came from the time when I was still building in Ostróda near Olsztyn.
I will only remind you that my main task was to lay a metal roofing tile on the whole roof slope.
Immediately after that I received another order for roofing in Olsztyn. The scope of work included the purchase of wooden battens, installation of windows and laying flat, ceramic DOMINO tiles manufactured by Creaton.
We also installed the Lindab guttering system. All elements in anthracite colour created a harmoniously composed whole.
In the slope there are good quality 78cm x140 windows made by Velux. Equipped with external roller blinds, automatically controlled according to the customer's needs.
Works started in the summer, in July, took a relatively long time, because it lasted until September. This was due to two problems: the first one was not the accuracy of the carpentry with which the roof truss was made. It took us more than two weeks to straighten the slope to a satisfactory appearance and suitable for laying a flat tile, which unfortunately shows every curve.
And the second problem was to make a different roofing for a friendly construction company. The dates of both works coincided in time, which significantly lengthened the completion of the first investment.
The second order was a quick and pleasant accent in our business. A simple gable roof covered with brick colored roof tiles. It took 10 working days to cover about 200 square metres. Additional elements are Velux windows and Gamrat PVC guttering.

Both of these works were completed at the end of September. In October we started a new project in cooperation with our permanent developer. But I will present these works to you in the next entry.

Of course. The European market is huge.there is a huge number of articles of this type to buy and assemble. But on my home Polish market there are Velux, Fakro, Rooflight windows. The light tubes that you have shown are mainly used in our factory buildings or warehouses. On residential buildings you will meet only windows or roof hatches for chimney sweepers.
Ok i also had the fakro ones offered and the Windows we have are fakro too so maybe we Will choose them
In my opinion, a good decision. Just pay attention to the details when choosing Fakro windows. It is worth buying such a window with a set of insulation called XDP. This is a special sheep's wool, which perfectly insulates the window in the spaces around it. Additionally, you can choose between a double or triple-glazed window. The heat transfer coefficient is a big difference. Of course, the size of the window and glazing will be the main determinant of the lighting in the room where the window will be installed.
