Solidarity as a sign of love!
Dear friends
We live in complicated times in which accelerated changes occur from both the social, economic and political aspects. This in many cases, forces people to have to adapt to new situations not known by them or even by the society in which they live.
So we should consider going to solidarity. This allows us, personally or by associating with charitable institutions, to collaborate with our most needy neighbors to solve their most urgent needs.
We see this solidarity reflected in the Acts of the Apostles, in which the first Christians who believed in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ placed all their belongings, goods and abilities for the common good and the growth of these first communities guided by the Holy Spirit under the direction of the apostles.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. Acts 4:32-35
Let us draw inspiration from the example of the first Christian community, which knew how to put its assets in common, taking special care of the poor and needy. Let us demonstrate gestures of solidarity with our fellow men.
