Dear esteemenans
Today, June 5, the World Environment Day is celebrated, it is a special date approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations in the year of 1972. This date has as objective to sensitize the world population in relation to environmental issues and also seeks to raise awareness to the countries and their governments.
It is a matter of maximum priority for humanity, conservation and care of the environment, considering that our health and well-being depend directly on the conditions of our planet earth.

In Psalm 115 we find reflected by the Psalmist the blessings we have received from the Lord and our praise to Him.
12 The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.
16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord. Psalm 115:12-18
We pray to the Lord so that our community, local and regional governments are committed to the care and defense of the environment, health and peace of the people and that the school of environmental education is encouraged as a compulsory subject in schools and universities.
