Quick Idea for a Steem Service (#64)

in #busy6 years ago

Another project, that could be worth looking into, but I simply do not have the time or the ambition to get this finished.

The idea is somewhat similar to the last idea I posted.

Payouts on Steemit are either 100% power up, or 50% power up and 50% 'liquid'.
The idea would be to offer a service, that instantly 'liquifies' all rewards. To make this work, the customer would have to set an agent account as beneficiary, to get a 100% liquid payout. Once the agent receives the beneficiary_reward, it sends the right amount of STEEM ( or SBD ) to the author. To make this service profitable, the operator would need to take a cut. Also, the agent-account needs to constantly power down and always hold enough liquid funds to be operational.

Since the Steem Dollar is being traded for much more than 1 US$, beneficiary_rewards are not the most profitable form of payout;

At the moment, there probably is no demand for a service like that, just because of the high value of the Steem Dollar. I expect it to some day reach 1 US Dollar. It might take a while, which would give you enough time to set this service up and be ready once it makes more sense to actually use the service.*

Feel free to use this idea, or not.
If it works out, please remember me.
You heard it here first. ( I think )

Gran idea @felixxx para incrementar nuestras ganancias en Steem o en SBD, Thanks you mi friend

so u think the steem dollar will go back to being worth a U.S dollar? That would suck tho

That's the purpose of the Steem Backed Dollar, though. To be worth around 1 USD.

Ahh true, but still how exactly would that help if it was back to 1 dollar?

The original idea was to have a stable currency to trade with; For example for online shops, BTC has a disadvantage over US$, because its value changes so quickly.

Oohhh yeah that makes a lot of sense. Is there anyway to keep it at 1 dollar?

Increasing the supply. ( Supply/Demand )

right but steemit is not going to cause the price to be stopped or blocked?

You would have to stop all trading to 'freeze' the price (?) ...

The blockchain has a built in system to regulate the supply.
It just does not work that fast and nobody expected how irrationally high some traders bought the SBD.

That's right, right now in the long run the steam dollar price is unstable even down drastically and there's no improvement before.

Good stuff

If it works out, please remember me.

And if it doesn't...?

Lol

Lemme go check the other idea. Maybe it's something my friends could be interested in

Speaking of which, @jo5h, come check this out

Hmmm.... fires up visual studio
