I use an Electrum wallet and when I heard this report I went straight to electrum.org. There was a sign up saying "Warning: A fake copy of Electrum, named 'Electrum Pro', is actually bitcoin-stealing malware. More information here "

Where it explains that this Electrum Pro at Electrum dot com is the problem. So it's not that the real electrum has been hacked but rather that there's a fake Electrum out there which is malware.
